American Hydroformers presses employ a specialized type of die based process forming known as hydroforming. High pressure fluid is injected into the part causing the metal to expand and take the shape of the die molding. This technique allows for complex shapes to be formed while also producing stronger and lighter components.  With three in-house presses, American Hydroformers’ has significant production capabilities as well as redundancy protocols in the event of equipment malfunction. All three of our Hydroforming presses feature a large bed capacity and are perfect for both small and large run manufacturing. At American Hydroformers, we have the ability to hydroform most metal materials including; aluminum, brass, carbon steel, copper, precious metals and high strength alloys, as well as stainless steel. Our manufacturing capacity consists of 5000, 4000, and 1800 ton presses with a maximum die size of 120”x245”.

Schuler 5,000 Ton Hydroforming Press

American Hydroformers’ Schuler 5,000 ton hydroforming press is set-up with two independent cavities and allows for high volume production and rapid manufacturing times. This press features 5000 tonnage of ram and has a maximum internal pressure of 45,000 psi.

Williams-White 4,000 Ton Hydroforming Press

Featuring an 8-liter, high pressure intensification system, our Williams-White 4,000 ton hydroforming press is capable of generating 45,000 psi. This press also has the ability to accommodate the largest dies, allowing for custom production and design flexibility.

Hydrap Pressen 1800 Ton Hydroforming Press

American Hydroformers’ dual-station, 1800 ton hydroforming press provides an economical alternative for the manufacturing of low volume runs or the production of smaller hydroformed parts. This hydroforming press is ideal for smaller hydroformed parts, such as plumbing components, hydroformed exhaust pieces, and appliance handles and fixtures.
